The Former DDL Community Leverkusen Bürrig was erected on 23rd April 1989, through the contact of Sr. Jane Francis the former Regional superior. The Sisters that started this Community are: Srs. Jane Frances Chioke as the Regional Superior, Odinakachukwu Chude, Franklyn Nneji, Leonia Onwudiwe and Chima Mbadugha; and their apostolate is caring of the sick and aged.  Owning to the fact, that DDL sisters on mission in Germany and America at that time were very few in number, they were merged together as one Region with Leverkusen Bürrig as the Regional house. America was later designated as a Region. Leverkusen Bürrig remained Germany Regional house untill the erection of Rheinbach Flerzheim Community in the year 1998, whereby regional house was shifted to Rheinbach Flerzheim. We were there in Bürrig till 28th May 2013, then we moved to Leverkusen  Küppersteg at Pestalozzi str 1a ,51373.
