DOW Community began by the grace of God on the 1st of July 1992 with 2 Sisters ( Sr. Ifeanyichukwu Nwangene and Sr. Assumpta Ekwugha) . The main apostolate the sisters are commissioned to do is taking care of the aged in "Deutsch Orden Wohnstift" which belongs to Deutsch Orden Congregation. The Community was first located at Straßburger Platz 6. After a year of it's existence, it was relocated to Europaring 66. In the year 2002, DOW Community packed in into Bergengrünstr. 35, which is the present community house. Msgr Prof. Obiora F. Ike is an outstanding personality in our relationship with the Deutsch Orden.The Community acquired her canonical recognition from the Archdiocese of Cologne on the 27th January 2000. DOW Community has experienced ever since it's foundation transition of some Sisters. Presently in the Community are:
